We are Lars and Maria and we blend sound and imagery through our lense to take you back in time.

We are Lars and Maria, soulmates and life partners. But we also form a team telling love stories through the movies we create.

In 2011 we started our long distance relationship and began to document our love through videos we made in order to keep the most special moments with us forever. And we realized that, as the years passed, these videos were increasing their valor drastically.

Before we knew it, Distance Films was born and nowadays, knowing that through our eyes you will be able to relive that same feeling and the most important day of your life, is without any doubt the most satisfying part of our work.

Meet Lars

 

Being born in the Netherlands and living in a rainy country made him spend many hours watching movies and gave him this special sensitivity to tell stories. His favorite movie is Scarface and with him, you can talk about everything related to the film world. His passion for cameras started with his hobby, skateboarding, where besides skating, he would meet up to film and edit videos of his trips with friends.

Meet Maria

 

A graphic designer by profession, for the past two years, Maria has been combining motherhood with audiovisual work. She loves creating, whether with her hands or through the lens. Perfectionist and obsessive in equal parts, she is very meticulous about details, and at weddings, she is responsible for capturing all these elements, making sure that nothing goes unnoticed.
